This depends on the point of departure and the destination of the waste in question. Notifiers must therefore distinguish between imports and exports, noting that for movements originating in French Overseas Territories, specific circumstances may apply.
When IMPORTING waste into France
Several questions need to be answered before waste can be imported into France, and parties should therefore seek information in advance.
When EXPORTING waste from France
Since the establishment of the PNTTD, all notifying parties wishing to export waste from France to other countries are required to submit their requests using the GISTRID application, in order to obtain a notification number.
