About the PNTTD
publié le 18 mai 2017 (modifié le 23 novembre 2017)

As of 01/09/2015, responsibility for reviewing and approving case files for transboundary movements of waste (which was previously the remit of regional DREALs) was gradually transferred to a single body located in Metz :
the PNTTD = Pôle National des Transferts Transfrontaliers de Déchets (National Center for Transboundary Movements of Waste)
The PNTTD is France’s central authority for transboundary movements of waste, including exports, imports and transit through the country (the body does not cover PTOM - French overseas countries and territories).
It carries national jurisdiction, and is a department of the Ministry for Ecological and Solidarity Transition.
Reporting to the DGPR (France’s General Directorate for Risk Prevention), the department is also part of the Sub-Directorate for Waste and the Circular Economy.
